Is the laser cutting machine harmful to the human body?
With the continuous development of science and technology, the application of lasers in our daily life is becoming more and more important, but many people have always had a question in their minds:
Will such a high-tech cause potential harm to the human body? Especially for large equipment such as laser cutting machines, will it affect the health of users?
In this regard, many people tend to be timid when using laser products, and even find it difficult to put laser products into large-scale production.
From the fundamental principle level, laser cutting machines are generally harmless to the human body.
Although laser cutting machines do not cause any harm to the human body in essence, if they are used improperly during use, they will also cause certain damage to the human body:
1. Eye damage
When workers come into contact with laser cutting machines, they often like to stare at the cutting head. If they stare at the sparks generated by cutting for a long time, it will cause damage to the eyes and cause stinging. During the processing of the laser cutting machine, the emitted laser can make the energy highly concentrated, and focus on the retina through the refractive medium of the eye to form an image, so that the energy density on the retina is significantly increased compared with the incident energy density on the cornea. In addition, the laser has good monochromaticity and small chromatic aberration at the fundus, so it can cause damage to the cornea or retina.
2. Skin damage
When the laser shines on the skin, if its energy (power) is too large, it can cause skin damage. The damage can be repaired by the tissue, and the function is reduced, but it does not affect the overall functional structure. If the skin is exposed for a long time, it may cause burns and scars.
3. Respiratory system damage
When the laser processes some special metal materials, the high temperature it generates will combine with the gas and produce a large amount of dust. Most of these fumes contain a large amount of chemical components, and the dust will also be suspended in the air. If inhaled accidentally, it will cause damage to the human respiratory system.
So how should we avoid the damage caused by the fiber laser cutting machine?
1. Prepare the necessary laser cutting machine protective equipment and wear protective glasses to prevent laser damage to the human eye. Other people in the work area should not look directly at the laser during cutting.
2. Operators should pay attention to eating more foods rich in vitamins AC and protein, such as carrots, bean sprouts, tomatoes, lean meat, and animal liver, which can better protect their eyes.
3. The corresponding dust removal device should be equipped, and the machine should be operated in an unobstructed air environment as much as possible, and a mask should be worn.
4. When arranging the cutting site, the site and walls of the working environment should be painted dark to reduce radiation.
5. Do not touch the cut parts immediately after processing to avoid burns from residual heat.
6. Since the laser beam is an invisible beam, do not touch the light path during use to avoid damage to the body.
7. There are harmful elements (ZnSe) in the focusing mirror of the laser cutting machine. Do not touch the lens frequently, and the lens should be specially handled after it is scrapped. Do not throw it around
