Spot welding machine debugging tips!
The debugging skills of the spot welder are essential to ensure the quality and efficiency of welding. Here are some key debugging skills and steps:
Current and voltage adjustment:
Initial adjustment: Adjust the current knob to the minimum and the voltage knob to the maximum for test welding. Keep the voltage unchanged and gradually increase the current until a satisfactory welding effect is obtained. Then, adjust the current knob to the maximum and the voltage knob to the minimum for test welding. Keep the current unchanged and gradually increase the voltage until a satisfactory welding effect is obtained.
Fine adjustment: Adjust both the current and voltage knobs to the minimum, and then gradually increase both. The process requires repeated adjustments until the best welding match is found, that is, the weld is best formed, the sound is softest and easy to control.
Welding pressure adjustment:
The welding pressure is achieved by adjusting the pressure reducing valve installed on the cantilever of the welding machine, and the pressure gauge indicates the air pressure. Adjust the welding pressure according to the material and thickness of the weld to avoid spatter caused by insufficient pressure or poor welding caused by excessive pressure.
Adjustment of electrode speed:
The electrode downward speed is controlled by adjusting the limiting valve on the left side of the bottom of the cylinder. When the regulating knob of the limiting valve is adjusted clockwise, the speed decreases; otherwise, it increases.
Adjustment of time and welding parameters:
Select the appropriate specification according to the material and thickness of the weldment, set the function selection knob to the "test" position, step on the foot switch to half, and the upper electrode descends the first level of travel. Step on the foot switch to the bottom, the welder moves according to the program, but no welding current passes. After the action is completely normal, set the function selection knob to the "welding" position, and welding can be carried out.
The adjustment of voltage, current and time is usually set to the required parameter value through the corresponding switch, and then fine-tuned through trial welding until the best welding effect is obtained.
Other precautions:
Regularly clean the oxide and dust on the electrode surface and keep the electrode clean to ensure good contact.
Regularly check and maintain the machine lines such as the power cable and electrode line of the spot welder, and replace the aging or worn lines in time to ensure the welding quality and work production of the machine.
Adjust parameters such as gas pressure and electrode force according to actual conditions to ensure welding efficiency and quality.
Through the above steps and precautions, the spot welding machine can be effectively debugged to ensure the smooth progress and high-quality completion of the welding process.
