Winter antifreeze measures for fiber laser cutting machines！

Since November, winter has begun in my country, the temperature is getting lower and lower, and many northern regions have experienced a heavy snow. When the temperature drops and the weather turns cold, in order to ensure the normal operation of the fiber laser cutting machine in winter, corresponding antifreeze measures need to be taken for it.

1. The weather is cold in winter and the temperature is low. The pipes of the chiller may freeze due to the low ambient temperature, which may cause damage to the core components of the fiber laser cutting machine. For this problem, the following protective measures should be taken.

The recommended way to prevent freezing is to keep the temperature of the chiller and equipment above 0 °C.

If the temperature does not reach above 0 °C, keep the cooling equipment and chiller turned on. If the water in the pipe is always flowing, freezing can be prevented. Of course, in this case, if the chiller is shut down for a long time due to a fault or power outage, there is also a certain risk of freezing.

If none of the above methods work, for the chiller, antifreeze can be added. You don't need to add too much refrigerant, just 25%. After adding antifreeze, it can withstand -20℃ without freezing.

2. Due to the different climates in the northern and southern hemispheres, some areas are humid and rainy in winter, and the air environment is humid. Excessive humidity inside the fiber laser cutting machine will cause condensation on the internal components of the laser. Therefore, the humidity of the environment around the laser must be reduced. After turning on the main power of the laser, turn on the attached control cabinet air conditioner for 30 minutes before the laser emits light to prevent the components in the cabinet from malfunctioning due to moisture.

3. If the fiber laser cutting machine is not used for a long time in winter, the water in the water tank will deteriorate due to long-term non-replacement, or freeze due to low temperature, which will damage the metal laser cutting machine part. To ensure the normal operation of the laser sheet metal cutting machine, drain all the water in the water tank before stopping use, remove one end of the small water pipe, and blow out all the water with air. When turning on the machine again, first check whether the machine is frozen and whether the room temperature is above 0 degrees.
