1. Knowledge popularization: strict training before taking up the job

The retina is a very sensitive organ, so when looking at the light source for a long time, the operator must wear a pair of radiation protection glasses.

 

3. Working environment: strictly abide by health standards

A large amount of ozone and oxynitrides will be generated during laser welding; in particular, the concentration of ozone far exceeds the reference health standards, which has a great impact on human health. Therefore, the work site must have good ventilation to discharge harmful gases and metal dust. In addition, fire prevention equipment such as sand boxes, fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, buckets, etc. must be available. Flammable items must be no less than 5m away from the welding site. If the specified distance cannot be met, asbestos boards, asbestos cloths, etc. can be properly covered to prevent sparks from falling into flammable items. Explosive items must be no less than 10m away from the welding site.

 

4. Equipment selection: quality control is very important

Handheld laser welding equipment belongs to high-power laser equipment with a safety level (IV level). Therefore, when an unidentified object enters the optical path, the automatic stop of the laser power is a mandatory function. The safety of handheld laser welding equipment is greatly improved.
